BSc International Business and Finance

I am Joey and a second-year student pursuing my undergraduate degree in International Business and Finance at the University of Leeds. Before applying to Leeds, I had the opportunity to visit Leeds and immediately fell in love with both the campus and the city. I am glad that I made University of Leeds my first choice as the Leeds University Business School (LUBS) is globally recognised and is one of a small number of business schools worldwide to hold triple accreditation by AACSB, AMBA and EQUIS. It is these types of accolades and recognitions that cements LUBS as one of the best businesses schools in the UK and the world.

Apart from the aforementioned benefits, the University has a lot to offer students, from the world-class facilities, lecture theatres, student support services, to having a dedicated careers team to help students with job applications, building a strong CV through to preparing them for interviews. There are also four libraries on campus with thousands of library resources, dedicated collections for specific subjects, manuscripts, rare books, and expert library staff who are also on hand to help.

The University has one of the largest student unions in the country. The Leeds University Union (LUU) is huge and impressive with more than 300 clubs and societies. from horse riding to skiing, there is something for everyone! I really had a great time joining events hosted by LUU and this is definitely a great way to meet new people, make new friends, and create some amazing memories.

The campus and city are also very vibrant and green, with plenty of scenic gardens and green parks to walk around. Leeds city is known as the ‘gateway to Yorkshire’, perfectly positioned for exploring the rest of this diverse county. Within an hour’s drive you can find yourself admiring the peaks of the Yorkshire Dales, wandering among the heather on Ilkley Moor or exploring the historical streets of the city of York.

There are just so many things to do in Leeds and I am absolutely loving my student life here.
