Value of Award

Full tuition fee scholarships for two Malaysian students applying for entry to a postgraduate taught programme at the University of Birmingham starting September 2025.

Eligibility Criteria

In order to be eligible, candidates must:

  • Have an excellent academic background. Candidates should have or be expecting a 2.1 in a Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Have received and accepted an offer for a full-time postgraduate taught programme starting September 2025 at the University of Birmingham (Birmingham campus). The student must be entering the first year of a postgraduate taught programme.
  • Meet the academic conditions of their offer to the programme.
  • Be domiciled in Malaysia.
  • Be classed by the University as an overseas fee payer for tuition fee purposes and be able to pay the outstanding tuition fees, living costs, and other expenses not covered by the scholarship.
  • Start their studies at the University in September 2025 (the scholarship award may not be deferred).
  • Students seeking to study a course solely delivered as a 'distance learning' or online programme are not eligible for this scholarship.
  • PGDip and PGCert programmes are not eligible.
  • Students who are applying for government scholarships are still able to apply for our awards, but if the student does receive a full government scholarship or alternative scholarship award then they are no longer eligible for this scholarship. 

How to Apply

  • To apply for the scholarship, students will need to be registered with and have their postgraduate study application attached to MABECS as well as have accepted an offer from the University of Birmingham by the scholarship deadline of 30 June 2025
  • Prepare a 500-word essay on 'What this scholarship means to you' to be submitted to MABECS (enquiries@mabecs.com).
  • Selection for the award will be based on academic merit and the applicant’s essay. Only under exceptional circumstances in which the University is unable to choose an awardee based solely on academic merit and essay response will applicants be asked to attend an interview.

Awarding

  • Decisions will be announced in early August 2025 and the scholarships will be awarded upon the students' enrolment in September 2025. Regrettably, owing to the volume of applications received, we will only be contacting those who have been successfully selected. 
  • Scholarships will be awarded based on the eligibility criteria outlined above and according to the application and admission process stated above. The University will make its best endeavours to input the scholarship details onto each student's CAS record for visa application purposes (this 'note' will be visible for the UKVI but not the student).
  • In accepting and securing this scholarship, awardees are expected to support the University and MABECS, to a reasonable extent and for a reasonable period of time, by providing profiles and testimonials, and engaging in ambassadorial activities if requested by the University and/or MABECS.
  • Successful recipients of the scholarships must have completed online university registration and be 'Normally Registered' by 3 October 2025 (23:59 UK time/ GMT+1). If this is not the case, the University will withdraw the scholarship.

Queen Mary MABECS Postgraduate Taught Scholarship

Full tuition fee scholarships for two Malaysian students applying for entry to a postgraduate taught programme in the applicable subjects at Queen Mary University of London starting September 2025.

Eligibility Criteria

In order to be eligible, candidates must:

  • Have an excellent academic background. Candidates should have or be expecting a 2.1 in a Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Have received and accepted an offer for a full-time postgraduate taught programme starting September 2025 at Queen Mary University of London. The student must be entering the first year of a postgraduate taught programme.
  • Meet the academic conditions of their offer to the programme.
  • Be domiciled in Malaysia.
  • Be classed by the University as an overseas fee payer for tuition fee purposes and be able to pay the outstanding tuition fees, living costs, and other expenses not covered by the scholarship.
  • Start their studies at the University in September 2025 (the scholarship award may not be deferred).
  • Students seeking to study a course solely delivered as a 'distance learning' or online programme are not eligible for this scholarship.
  • Students who are applying for government scholarships are still able to apply for our awards, but if the student does receive a full government scholarship or alternative scholarship award then they are no longer eligible for this scholarship.

University of Warwick MABECS Postgraduate Taught Scholarship

Full tuition fee scholarships for two Malaysian students applying for entry to a postgraduate taught programme in the applicable fields at University of Warwick starting September 2025. 

Eligibility Criteria

In order to be eligible, candidates must:

  • Have an excellent academic background. Candidates should have or be expecting a 2.1 in a Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Have received an offer and accepted an offer for a full-time postgraduate taught programme starting September 2025 at the University of Warwick. The student must be entering the first year of a postgraduate programme based at the University's UK campus.
  • Meet the academic conditions of their offer to the programme.
  • Be domiciled in Malaysia.
  • Be classed by the University as an overseas fee payer for tuition fee purposes and be able to pay the outstanding tuition fees, living costs, and other expenses not covered by the scholarship.
  • Start their studies at the University in September 2025 (the scholarship award may not be deferred).
  • Students seeking to study on a course solely delivered as a 'distance learning' or online programme are not eligible for this scholarship.
  • PGDip and PGCert programmes are not eligible.

Nelson Marlborough Institute of Technology x MABECS Global Scholarship

Value of Award

10 x NZ10,000 scholarships to partially cover the tuition fees associated with the study of any full-time Certificate, Diploma, Bachelor’s, or Master’s programme at Nelson Marlborough Institute of Technology (NMIT) starting July 2025 or a Master of Applied Management starting October 2025. This is a one-time award.

Eligibility Criteria

Please note that students already registered and studying a programme at NMIT in New Zealand are not eligible for this award.

In order to be eligible, candidates must:

  • Have applied and secured an offer for a course of study of at least 120 credits (one year full-time study) that is available to international students at NMIT through our sister company MABECS Global.
  • Be classed by the institution as an overseas fee payer for tuition fee purposes and be able to pay the outstanding tuition fees, living costs, and other expenses not covered by the scholarship.
  • Start their studies at NMIT in July 2025 or October 2025 (only applies to Master of Applied Management).
  • Be domiciled in Malaysia.
  • Submit their scholarship application through MABECS Global by the following deadlines:
    • July 2025 intake: 4 April 2025
    • October 2025 intake: 4 July 2025

How to Apply

To apply, candidates must:

  • Ensure they meet all eligibility criteria.
  • Be registered with and have their application attached to MABECS Global.
  • Prepare a 500-word essay on what this scholarship means to them and why they deserve it, to be submitted to MABECS Global (enquiries@mabecsglobal.com) by the applicable deadline.

Awarding

  • Selection for the award will be based on applicants' essay responses.
  • Finalists will be asked to attend an interview.
  • Decisions will be made late April 2025 (for July 2025 intake) and mid-July 2025 (for October 2025 intake).
  • The scholarships will be awarded upon the students' enrolment in their respective intakes.
  • In accepting and securing this scholarship, awardees are expected to support the institution and MABECS Global, to a reasonable extent and for a reasonable period of time, by providing profiles and testimonials, and engaging in ambassadorial activities if requested by NMIT or MABECS Global.
