Overview
Northeastern University London (NUL) is a university-level institution offering undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in humanities and social sciences. NUL is located at Devon House, in central London’s St Katharine Docks. This new location boasts state-of-the-art facilities combined with unrivalled views of the River Thames and Tower Bridge.
NUL continues to develop, and was granted Degree Awarding Powers in February 2020 when it partnered with Northeastern University. NUL has become part of Northeastern University’s Global Network, and students gain opportunities for new academic programmes, research collaborations, overseas study and alumni scholarships for postgraduate courses. Additionally, students benefit from access to Northeastern University’s digital library – a huge archive of resources and information.
Undergraduate study
Students at NUL study a combined honours degree comprising a ‘major’ and ‘minor’ subject. The college also offers degrees in Philosophy, Politics & Economics (PPE) and Philosophy, Politics & History (PPH), a single honours Law LLB, and a Philosophy & Cognitive Science BA.
The college’s unique liberal arts-inspired undergraduate curriculum is taught through interactive lectures and small group tutorials. There is a strong emphasis on the individual, and students are encouraged to develop personally, professionally and academically, through programmes such as LAUNCH which equips students with the skills and knowledge to succeed after university.

NSS and student performance
NUL achieved 84% student satisfaction in the NSS for 2021.
In 2021 91% of students graduated with a 2:1 or higher with 49 % achieving a First Class Degree (versus a sector average of 76% 2:1 or above and 28% First Class according to HESA 2019)
97.6% of graduates employed or in postgraduate study after 15 months in 2021 (versus a sector average of 88%)
